Our Story

Muhanga needy project Uganda is a registered non profit community based organization established alongside our community project to address the urgent needs of vulnerable children and people in the community. Many of these children lost their parents to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, leaving them without proper care or access to education.

Through mobilisation and sensitisation campaigns, we educated communities about HIV/AIDS prevention while creating a haven for children to learn and grow. Today, some of our pioneer students have graduated and are now serving Uganda in various fields, embodying our mission to create brighter futures.

Our MISSION

To gather vulnerable children from poor families in different communities, providing them with quality education, protection, and comprehensive skills suitable for their age and level. We aim to teach morals and discipline expected of good Ugandan citizens, preparing them for self-reliance and a brighter future.

Our IMPACT

Through our work in education, health, agriculture, environmental conservation, palliative care, youth and women empowerment, climate change, and human rights, we create lasting positive change. Our graduates are proof that with proper support, vulnerable children can rise above their circumstances and contribute meaningfully to society.

Our Projects

Since 2006, we've been working across eight key areas to create lasting positive change in our communities. From education to human rights, each project addresses critical needs and empowers our people.

Education

Providing quality education to vulnerable children from poor families. Our students learn in both temporary wooden classrooms and permanent structures, with some pioneers now serving as graduates across Uganda

Agriculture

Organising communities to grow diverse crops for food security and income generation. Encouraging livestock keeping, including cows, goats, rabbits, poultry, and pigs, to improve living standards

Health

Delivering awareness campaigns about communicable and non-communicable diseases. We provide medical care through our school nurse, immunisation programs, and nutrition education for healthier lives.

Women & Youth Empowerment

Creating opportunities for female entrepreneurship, ensuring equal rights and access to jobs, education, and literacy programs. Mentoring youth for local impact and supporting women in crisis.

Environmental Conservation

Protecting water sources and wetlands, tree planting campaigns, reforestation, promoting renewable energy, restoring degraded land, organic gardening, wildlife conservation, and beekeeping.

Climate Change

Protecting and restoring forests, transitioning to modern agricultural practices, promoting renewable energy, improving energy efficiency, and supporting sustainable consumption patterns.

Help Us Meet Critical Needs

While our community and donors have provided essential support, we still face significant challenges in providing the best possible environment for our vulnerable children. Your contribution can make a real difference.
