Day by day Itinerary

Day 1: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

• Start early from Kampala.

• Stop at the Equator line for photos and a short break.

• Drive through the beautiful countryside of Western Uganda.

• Arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park and check in at the lodge.

• Enjoy a relaxed evening and dinner.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Travel Time: 7–8 hours

 

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Boat Cruise

• Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in the Kasenyi plains.

o Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, and many antelope species.

• Return to the lodge for lunch.

• In the afternoon, take a 2–3 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.

o See hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and beautiful birds up close.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kalinzu Forest

• After early tea or coffee, head to Kalinzu Forest.

• Join a guided chimpanzee tracking experience, also spotting monkeys and birds.

• After the trek, begin your journey towards southwestern Uganda.

• Optional: overnight in Queen Elizabeth or continue to your next destination.

Lodge: Optional (Queen or continue to Bunyonyi)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

 

Day 4: Visit Muhanga Modern Primary School & Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi

• Today is a special part of your journey: a visit to Muhanga Modern Primary School in Rukiga District.

• Meet the children, learn about the school, and see how your visit helps support orphans and vulnerable children.

• You are welcome to bring donations like:

o Clothes, shoes, toys, books, pencils, or school supplies.

• After your school visit, continue to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s deepest and most scenic lake.

• Enjoy the peaceful evening by the lake.

Lodge: BirdNest Resort or similar at Lake Bunyonyi

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

Day 5: Travel Back to Kampala or Kigali

• After breakfast by the lake, begin your journey back.

• Travel time to:

Kampala: approx. 7–8 hours

Kigali (Rwanda): approx. 4–5 hours

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch (en route)
