3-Day Safari to Murchison Falls National Park

Join us on a short and exciting adventure to Uganda’s largest national park — home to powerful waterfalls, big game, and stunning wildlife. In just 3 days, you’ll experience rhino tracking, game drives, and a boat cruise on the Nile.

Optional: Add a meaningful visit to our school — Muhanga Modern Primary School — either before or after your safari. Bring a smile to a child with a small gift like clothes, shoes, or books!

Day by day Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

• Depart early from Kampala or Entebbe.

• Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a walking tour to see rhinos up close.

• Continue to Murchison Falls National Park, stopping for lunch on the way.

• Arrive at your lodge in the evening and relax.

Accommodation: Paraa Safari Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Boat Cruise on the Nile

• Early morning game drive in the park’s northern section.

o Look out for: lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, antelopes, and many birds.

• Return for lunch and a short rest.

• Afternoon: Boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of Murchison Falls.

o See: hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and rare birds like the shoebill.

• Optional: Hike to the top of the falls for amazing views.

Accommodation: Paraa Safari Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

Day 3: Visit Top of the Falls & Return to Kampala

• Enjoy breakfast with a view.

• Optional: Morning nature walk near the lodge.

• Visit the top of Murchison Falls for breathtaking photos.

• Drive back to Kampala or Entebbe with lunch stop on the way.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

 

Optional Visit: Muhanga Modern Primary School

If your travel route includes southwestern Uganda (e.g. heading to Bwindi, Kabale, or Lake Bunyonyi), you can add a school visit on your way. Muhanga is located in Rukiga District along the road connecting Lake Mburo, Kabale, and Bwindi.

Perfect Time to Visit:

• After this safari (on your way to Bwindi or Lake Bunyonyi).

• Or, start your trip in western Uganda with a stop at the school before heading north to Murchison.

Bring a Smile!

Visitors are welcome to bring:

• Gently used clothes or shoes

• School supplies like books, pencils, backpacks

• Small toys or sports gear (balls, jump ropes, etc.)

Your visit helps support the Muhanga Needy and Orphan Project, giving hope and joy to children who need it most.
